A win against EMU...
A win against EMU would put the Huskies at 8-0 and make this season the best start NIU has ever had since becoming a D-1 school. I know this is nothing compared to what the Huskies have done the lately, but you need to stop and appreciate the little things.

Yep. NIU started out 7-0 in 2003 and lost Game 8 to Bowling Green. Of course, we were ranked #12 prior to the BG game.

So we have more MAC wins in a row than Marshall did, right?

You're are correct sir. I have copies of the AP poll when we were ranked 12th and I was 95% positive that we were 8-0. Another record should bite the dust.

The win last week made it 20 MAC games in a row, breaking the old record held by BG.

Unbelievable. No wonder we have nothing to complain about except that we aren't blowing out bad teams (and hot dogs).

Thanks, I was wondering about that.
Marshall won all their MAC games, including the MCC in 1999.
They won all their scheduled games in 2001, then lost to Toledo in the MCC.

Speaking of Toledo, I can confirm that Toledo still has not been to the MACC since 2004. Carry on.

Also with a win it will make the SR class the winningest class ever at NIU.

Just when you think there isn't anything left to accomplish, this team seems to step it up another notch. Here to the next "little" thing!

RE: A win against EMU...
damn that BGSU game in 2003 suckeddddd! So awesome having College Gameday there too, wish we could won that one. Id be awesome to get Gameday in DeKalb one day, but unfortunately with us playing most of our late season games during the week im not sure how likely it will ever be unless the scheduling changes

That's it! I am so totally disgusted! For the last time, would you please stop staring at me while I'm taking a leak?! Thank you!

Speaking of Toledo, hopped on their board for a second. They were discussing the BG game. Basically just poking fun at BG, makes sense since they are rivals. Decided to ask a question and add my two cents (my in laws are BG alum) it's a crappy place. Yet, still nicer than Toledo.
Guy gets all defensive and asks what's cool in DeKalb. Was glad to respond with an undefeated team and sellouts. Much better than a .500 season and a recession in the rust belt! Those Rockets sure suck on the field and are big douches here. Was just trying to join the convo.
Toledo's mantra should be.. 10 years of futility, living in NIU's shadow, mediocrity, no MAC championships, and still the putrid city in NW Ohio.

Don't forget how great they are at recruiting. Just check their intro video this year. After all, recruiting rankings is really all that matters in the end.
