My question though is, are Charlie and Teddy a package deal to Jacksonville?

Adam Schretler at ESPN has hinted at that...

Why would Jacksonville want a coach who has the better team but still loses the game? 03-wink

You will regret it for a long time also, especially, if things fall the right way. I sitll have nightmares about Pitt's win over WVU with OSU awaiting in the NC. Once is a life-time chance there, and RRod blew it by not having his team ready to play. Spent the whole week patting themselves on the back and perhaps he was looking to the Midwest at the same time.

That is why the games are played.

He wouldn't have to worry about making that claim in Jacksonville.

It's a big deal for the AAC that UCF won this game... if LV won out and took the BCS, all we'd hear is how all the talent was leaving the AAC.

The NFL Advisory Committee is pushing both Coach Strong and Dennis Shaw @ Stanford....07-coffee3

RE: Charlie Strong: The better team lost
Outside of referees deciding outcomes or an onslaught of uncharacteristic turnovers or flukes his comment is out of place. Doesn't bother me a bit - he isn't our problem and we don't even play them after this year.

For his sake, he will learn from it though. It's just a stupid comment even if it were true. How is he gauging "better?" Bench presses and 40 times? Rivals stars? The 2013 Sugar Bowl? lol

It doesn't matter who is better it just matters who wins on a given night - when it counts. We all have lost games we probably would have normally won 8/10 times - but it doesn't matter. The win does represent a culmination of talent, preparedness and a little luck - which is why we love it.

But really Charlie - can it. It will be your own fans eventually roasting you for remarks like that.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or just haven't spent enough time around us yet.

RE: Charlie Strong: The better team lost
O'Leary calls out Strong.

During his afternoon press conference, UCF coach George O'Leary was asked if he was aware of Strong's comments.

"Charlie did that?," O'Leary asked. Really."

He then continued:

"They're a very talented team. Obviously when you say the best team didn't win, you've got to look in the mirror as far as players and coaches. I'll leave it like that. I think it was a great win. All I look at is wins and losses. I don't get involved in, 'He said, you said, we said.' I think any time you lose a game I always look in the mirror and what I could have done more to help the win or change the game. I don't get involved in, 'We were better than them.' We won that night. They have a really talented team. They really do. Move on. I don't get concerned about people talking after a game."

Give UCF their due....they continued to fight and unlike most teams didn't quit.

If UCF runs the table that would be huge for the League going forward. As for us...we have a 6 game season...the standard better be 6-0...that is the best we can do...do that and it will set us up nicely for 2014.

hm, perhaps, I still think the Ville's record now should read 6 1/2 - 1/2
