We have to pass it to know what's in it #163
Seems like a group of clever lawyers did read the bill and found that Obamacare specifically only provides for "subsidies for policies purchased on state exchanges." Since many states have opted out of state exchanges, the letter of the law does not provide for subsidies for insurance purchased on the federal exchanges.

This will be ajudicated in at least two courts this week and if the judges rule in favor of the plaintiffs, the only fix will be to pass legislation to allow for federal exchange subsidies. Wanna guess if that will get through the House?

I am sure we will have to close the government and eliminate Obamacare before any real attempt by the teabillies to fix the problem.

Just the title alone... It's like saying that you have to buy a car to know how it drives... How people were dumb enough to support this is beyond me.

She's just a salesman for it. She knows how it drives and needs to sell it before the lemons are all exposed to the idiots. But if you REALLY wanna see stupid, we get called the as.sholes for trying to expose it.

I'm not sure how long you sat and thought about what to say, but it seems you ran out of words and tossed your period in there to end the sentence and be done with it. Can you finish your statement please?

This is just another example of how poorly cobbled together this law was. Liberals crafted the law without republicans, now let them fix it without republicans, meaning no subsidies.

How many more time bombs are still in this bill?

Probably a paragraph in there saying that Republicans cannot own property or live past 21 years of age.

You still don't understand what she meant by that do you? There was so much misinformation from the teabillies that people didn't actually know what beneficial things were actually in it. So she basically said that once they find out what is actually in it, they will like it.

She assumes that we cannot read or trust each other. I trust my gun-toting, tobacco chewing, deer killing, redneck neighbor (and my literacy) MULTITUDES more than Nancy Pelosi.

That certainly explains why you are so misinformed.

How many times have we been told this was the law of the land? It's done, warts and all. Live with it.
