RECRUITING
George Mason gets their first 2014 commitment,
SF Eric Lockett

George Mason just got their first commitment for the 2014 class, small forward Eric Lockett. He is a three-star recruit from Atlanta, Georgia who is labeled as tough defender and fierce rebounder. The scouting reports show that he will be a great addition to the up-tempo style Paul Hewitt wants to run:

“He loves running the floor on the break, whether it be with the ball in his hands, or picking a lane and scoring in transition”

RE: RECRUITING
Therence Mayimba to George Mason
[Image: therence-mayimba.bmp]

St James senior Therence Mayimba committed to George Mason on Monday night. The lengthy 6’6” wing, originally from Gabon, provides some major length, a big motor, and defensive versatility for the Patriots.

Mayimba, who is a Team Takeover AAU alum, is a supreme defender. At his top he defends multiple positions with great length, natural strength, and big explosion. He can defend both on and off the ball at a high level. He also will not be lost on switches to where he needs to defend the post.

Mayimba’s offensive game is developing; right now he gets out and attacks the basket in transition. In the half court his handle is coming along and his jump shot is best off the dribble from fifteen feet and in. Mostly his offensive skill set is predicated around his huge motor.

Mayimba is George Mason’s third commitment in the 2014 class; he joins 6’6” Georgia forward Eric Lockett and 6’10” Virginia big Trey Porter.
