From the Espin ACC Blog "Believe it or not, Duke and Wake Forest are the class of North Carolina football to this point, the only two ACC programs in the state with winning records." Yes, I know ECU is not in the ACC and therefore Espin apologists and ECU haters can say I'm being petty or whatever. I don't care, ECU is the best football team in North Carolina. BTW, why doesn't the Espin AAC blog have a "what we learned in the ____" like the other conferences? There's a weekly article, complete with bowl projections in the other blogs...I know that cusa, mwc, etc. do not have a blog at all, but why even put out an AAC blog if there is no actual article about the league complete with analysis like the other conference blogs listed? Just sayin....

Well Duke and WF have a legitimate argument right now, but if the article doesn't say ACC NC school's then it is pretty dumb that they said Duke and WF are the only teams in NC with a winning record.

Exactly. The article says that Wake and Duke are the best teams in the state of North Carolina this year. ECU handed it to UNC this year and will likely do the same to NC St later this season.

ecu is easily the best team in nc this year. IF the blog is only talking about acc teams, then they are right, but if they are talking overall its no question. Carolina football is down outside of ECU.

our conf is bs, sponsers wont pay big bucks to adv on our games because of that and so then in espn mind we are bs.

this is why we are treated like 2nd class citizens

lets be honest there isnt one team in this conference that has national appeal, and that includes the teams that left (cuse, pitt, wva) and are leaving (uofl and rutgers)
and thats not a knock on us, its reality. the p5 conf all have a team or two with national appeal, we dont

for example texas and ou in the B12...everyone else in the b12 gets to benefit from the national appeal of these two programs.

Pac has USC and Oregon etc

we have nobody...and the Big East didnt either

Actually, East Carolina is east of NC and SC. It's a state located on an island sort of like Cuba.

I actually say Wake as of today. Grobe abandoned the option that made them look so bad early in the season and has his offense clicking now. They are coming off of two good wins at BB@T. It would not surprise me to see them finish very strong and go bowling. Grobe is a hell of a coach.
