My bad for seeing what you guys are discussing.

Oh, by the way DeKallb has an undefeated team hanging out there. What's going on in Toledo? Gotta love .500 seasons and recessions!!!

Was trying to see what was going on, I guess a guy can't ask a question.
Sure you can. Just don't throw stones when you live in a glass house. Speaking od GLASS HOUSES, I'll be looking forward to welcoming you to ours on November 20th. I can guarantee you won't see a bunch of "NUCK FIU" signs on the way into campus... if you know what I mean. Now... i'snt it time for you to get that corn out???

I wasn't throwing stones at a glass house. I was asking how BG is the Marshall of Ohio? I don't understand the reference, hence the question.

Yes, you probably won't see that sign. It also looks a lot worse than the opposite way around. However, I bet someone has a just as class-less sign. As much as I'd enjoy going to the game, NW Ohio is far from Texas and I will not be in attendance. Thanks for the hospitable invite though.

Lastly, are you trying to get in a pissing contest here? I guess it's from my note of the recession. I've never been a corn farmer, nor do I live in corn country. So, are you going to answer the reference to Marshall.

I stand by my comment of an undefeated team being way cooler than anything in Toledo.

UNDEFEATED ??? - Toledo wrote the book on that ... Three straight seasons 1969-71...
Though NIU has had a really nice run the last ten years and will definitely root them on if they knock us off and work their way back into a BCS bowl... 04-cheers

Appreciate the good well wishes.

I wouldn't say Toledo wrote that book. Teams before them did go undefeated. Also, considering I wasn't even close to being born then to me it doesn't mean much. Definitely a nice bragging right in recruiting and other things. However, football is such a what have you done for me lately thing, it's crazy.

It is nice to see NIU re-writing MAC record books though. Starting to attain success your program has had.

FMRocket, you are my favorite Rocket poster. Always sensible and not being rude. Plus, the Bluto picture and references are always great.

It's going to be a great game in a few weeks. I'm very intrigued to see how the Toledo/BG game pans out this weekend. 04-cheers

Re-writing the MAC record books???? That would be 35-0, second longest winning steak in NCAA Div 1 history. Toledo ROCKETS 1969-71. I was there. Dream on! PS... Sorry if you find these facts "rude" or insensitive.

Toledo has had four undefeated seasons. Not eight game streaks or ten game streaks but entire seasons. It HAS been a long time but those years are hard to come by. I sincerely hope NIU takes only one loss this year. By the way, if you think NIU or DeKalb has anything remotely as cool as the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Zoo, the Peristyle, etc. then I have to question if you've seen enough of Toledo to comment.

The latter part of your statement is correct.

Again, I didn't say Toledo sucked. Aqua brought up NIU, and I mentioned undefeated.

As for re-writing MAC records. I was referencing the longest home winning streak in conference history, and the most consecutive conference victories. Sorry if that is "rude or offensive"

Aqua, your just being a douche. Nothing like only noting what you want to discuss and thinking your cool. Im glad you're older and you got to witness that. Anything like that will never happen again, so I commend that.

Again, Toledo WILL NEVER be in a BCS bowl, never have the chance to be in back to back BCS bowls. So in your words, dream on!

I will happily note that I have almost doubled in age since the last Toledo MAC title.

Love being attacked when trying the be friendly. Stay classy guys.

Did I miss something? Aqua said second longest and H2O said longest conf home. Who claimed it was longest NCAA?

That's on me, was rapid reading and didnt see the word second, clung to longest. Where does h2o say longest conference home? i said niu just got that record. Good catch. Please disregard.

Added: is that still correct? I'm seeing Washington having a longer streak in the early 1990s. And according to his wording, Yale is ahead as well. Yale is D1 football. FCS but still d1
