Since Fuente has been our Coach, we have lost games. But, I've never been down on him or the team because regardless of the end result, the team showed up to play. They played hard, they played disciplined, and they made us root for them. Today, this team just did not show up against a 1-4 team. This was a win we needed and they didn't step up.

I still believe in Fuente and the program, but today was a big three steps back after taking two forward.

It was really just the 2nd quarter that was bad. I'm sure a lot of people left or turned off their TV at halftime, but we really did some nice things in the 2nd half. Once again, though, we shot ourselves in the foot with penalties at the worst times.

We did good things on defense but the offense is the same sorry bunch. I am sure Fuente is wondering if should have stayed at TCU......oh no they have no offense either.

Yep. We were a missed field goal away from it being a 1 point game in the first quarter. Then the wheels came off in the 2nd and the game was lost. Our guys continued fighting and made the score respectable.

I'm not going to waste time arguing with those who are calling for Karam, but I'll say my piece here: Lynch made some typical freshman mistakes in the first half, but the pass blocking was atrocious, WRs couldn't separate, and the play calling was way too conservative.

Lynch attempted two passes in the 2nd half until 6 minutes left in the 4th when Fuente was forced to open things up. We called some downfield throws and Lynch showed off his rocket arm strength and above-average downfield accuracy. When we fix our pass blocking and Fuente takes the handcuffs off, Lynch is going to be a baller.

It looks like the only time Lynch does well is when the other team is in a prevent defense. I don't think he needs to be replaced, but maybe open up the playbook a little to see what he can do. Right now he does not look like the long term answer for us. It would help if he had a few people who can catch the ball in traffic.

So he only does well when the opposing defense makes it easy for him to do well.

I'm all for Coach Fuente.

We are digging out of a very, very deep abyss. Any decision he makes to help us up will be open to question.

I enjoy the debates, but I'm a Fuente fan.

I have never been down on Fuente before today... But I disagree that his teams have played disciplined. Penalties and fumbles have killed the Tigers.

No doubt our discipline needs some extra focus

1-5 is a deep hole. At this point I'd love to see 4-8.

Definitely lost a few that we could have won. Four of our first 6 games at home. Now we have some tough road games coming up.

Curious that up to now we have played teams that we have played before, but at the end of the season we play a few new conference foes.

4-8 was what I considered "optimistic" before the season.

So I'd love to see that, too.
