RE: The BCS bowl game is up for the taking
I Interned with the Orange Bowl this past year...They would like UCF on there, but since they have first pick on the ACC's Opponent...Highly unlikely. But the Executives I worked with were pleased with the program (kind of surprised since i was the only Mid Major graduate in the entire office...All of em are gators)...Hopefully we'll head to a nice destination regardless

Why? Say South Carolina goes to Sugar Bowl, avoid rematch. Orange Bowl has a FSU or Miami, won't take 2 Florida teams.

Worst case BCS scenario IMO

I can see that. For the last year they'll match the MW champ vs the AAC champ. Now that Louisville will drop down quite a bit, a non-BCS champ is very likely only need to be in the top 16 to qualify for the BCS. We'll see how the BCS computers calculate though.

No offense, but #1: No one would watch (an exaggeration but not far off). #2: doubt two make it in. #3: Both would rather be paired up with a name school for better recognition. #4: None of us G5 fans should hope for that kind of pairing to become a frequent thing.

Big XII isn't sending a team to the MNC, though. Fiesta is contractually obligated to take the available Big XII champ.

Dude--we are at game 6. UCF's only loss is a close game to #12 S Carolina. UCF knocked off Penn State and #8 Louisville. UCF could easily be in the 10-15 range by the end of the season if they win out. Lots of football left to play.

It doesn't matter. My taking two comment was based on forgetting the AAC was still AQ for one more year. My other points are still valid though.
