I figured that would be the reply.

IF Iowa beats Ohio State, the spin will be how weak Ohio State is, not how deep the B1G is...

The SEC and it's media stooges have it down pat. Almost makes me wonder if Carville is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. :)

Remember the spin that Big 12 offenses couldn't do what they did to SEC defenses? Believe it was the debate over Okie St. I guess A&M and Mizzou have put a dent in that theory the last two years.

Oregon 59 Tennessee 14. Can Bama top that next week?

The bottom half of the SEC is much better than its been the last couple of years.

Kentucky lost to WKU, win over a bad Miami (OH)
Vandy's wins were over the dregs of FBSino
Tennessee got rolled by Oregon
Arkansas lost to Rutgers, haven't beaten a good team
Mississippi State got beat bad by Okie State, beat two bad teams (one FCS dreg)
Mississippi has the lone decent OOC win - big win over Texas.

So how can you say they are better, unless you are admitting in the past the bottom half of the SEC stunk bad, and the records of the top teams were inflated with gimme wins.

Georgia @ Vanderbilt

Auburn @ Texas A&M
Iowa State @ Baylor
Iowa @ Ohio State

I can see at least 3 or 4 of these 10 games being upsets. College Football will only get wilder from here on out.

2 more down. I've already met my 3 or 4 quota. And theres more to come... I'm on a roll!!!

It's a pity you didn't list the BYU-Houston game, Sabanator...

BYU downed previously undefeated Houston 47-46...

Quite possibly not, as that's an improving Tennessee team.

Super frustrating having such an awful defense full of untalented underclass men that is costing us games. If we had even an OK defense we'd be in the national title talk instead of mediocre 8-4 which is looking likely

Well, to be honest, A&M didn't look the same after Manziel went out of the game. Even after he came back he was having trouble throwing the ball. You could see him wince on every throw...

Hopefully he won't miss any games. But a throwing shoulder injury can be tricky. Once the adrenaline stops flowing, it's going to tighten up...

True but Johnny didn't lose this game. Our D that got one sack and forced just 4 punts the whole game is what lost this game and will probably lose at least 2 more for us.

Oh well, thems the breaks I guess

RE: UPSET ALERT WEEK 8
Two weeks from now could be the biggest Florida State-Miami match-up in years.

#3 Clemson (Losing, 2nd)
#6 LSU (Losing, 4th)
#7 Texas A&M (Lost)
#8 Louisville (Lost)
#9 UCLA (Lost)

#5 Florida State (Winning, 2nd)
#10 Miami (Won)

Let's assume Florida State wins tonight: If the Noles and Canes take care of business against NCSU and WF respectively, then #3 Florida State vs #5 Miami in Tallahassee?

Miami will get stomped worse than Clemson is getting it right now too...

...was a great game... I knew AU scored with too much time left... but the D made some big plays at the end... the beginning of another awesome SEC rivalry! ...er, last years' A&M / AU game didn't really qualify as a 'rivalry starter', unfortunately.. 03-drunk

RE: UPSET ALERT WEEK 8
going by the more important BCS ratings....(from CBS sports Jerry Palm from last week- all data in except for 1 cpu)
1 Alabama won big
2 Oregon winning big
3 Clemson losing big
4 Florida St winning big
5 Ohio St won
6 LSU lost
7 Texas A&M lost
8 UCLA lost
9 Louisville lost
10 Missouri won
11 Stanford won
12 South Carolina lost
13 Miami won
14 Baylor won
15 Georgia lost
16 Texas Tech won
17 Oklahoma won
18 Va Tech off
19 Northern Illinois won
20 Fresno St winning early
21 Oklahoma St won
22 Florida lost
23 Auburn won

I'd say we likely if NIU or Fresno win have a bcs buster.
