History will be the judge of that.

Liberal history.

This won't be one of them.

Stupid party versus evil party. For those of you like to give me grief about talking about leaving, this affair is pushing me closer.
At what point did you realize you supported Obama? What about him do you like?

The only thing I like about Obama is that he's black. I think it's great to have a black president. I'd love to have a Hispanic next, if there are any good ones out there. Otherwise there's not one f***ing thing I like about him. I truly cannot stand the Chicago street hustler, Chance the Gardner, socialist/communist. I don't want to live in a socialist/communist country.

That's exactly the problem. I'm a military guy, and in war, you don't send your troops out to get killed attacking a position that you can't take. You assess the risk/reward ratio, and find a more intelligent strategy. Republicans were looking good to take both houses of congress in 2014 and have the clout to bring Obama under control. Now they probably can't take the senate and could lose the house. If that happens, you can stick a fork in the USA.

Much like the polls were skewed and Obama wasn't going to win?

Big difference the nation votes for a president so national polls have a correlation. Senate races are on a state by state basis and depend on candidates. House races are even more complex. With the low congressional approval rating in 2012 90% still won re-election. No reason to believe that will change, after all, the mindset is My Senator and Congressman are fine it's the other one's that are the problem.

Have you seen the President and Democrats? They aren't winning anything. You are also banking on one poll. Just like one poll(Rasmussen) had Romney ahead. The only reason conservatives put so much stock in that poll is because it was the only accurate poll in 2004 and 2008.

Nate Silver is not predicting the Democrats come out on top in the mid terms. I guess he could be wrong as well, right?

But they weren't predicted to come out on top in the mid-terms before this.. what's your point? That doesn't mean it hasn't been worse for the GOP than it has been for the Dems. It just hasn't been so much worse that it's enough to change the fact the GOP was already expected to easily keep the house.

Here's your problem. The Democrats will not take the House. Even your loverboy Silver admits that. The GOP only needs five Senate seats - all of which in red states. The President has an approval in the 30s. Obamacare. Game over.

I've never suggested I believe the Dems will take the house, I don't know why you keep going back to that. I have no reason to think they will, all evidence suggests the GOP will continue to hold the house.

But the rest of what you're suggesting makes it sound like you're delusional.

The democrats are going to pay for Obamacare. They are also going to pay for how they treated our vets and other shutdown acts of petulance. You can take that to the bank.

I hope they stick it out long enough to lower the credit rating of the United States then turn around and blame it on Obama.

This will be a case study in leadership for decades to come.

Many a PhD will be spent spelling out exactly what NOT to do. Leading from Behind, nObama since 2008.

History will be the judge of that.

Funny thing about history is that it uses the President to personalize historical events. So if the default occurs, it will go down in history as Obama's default.

I know you are being sarcastic but technically speaking. There is really nothing he could have done about it.

If he truly had the power, he would have stopped the government shut down.

So when did you realize you were going to help the Democrats by constantly trashing their opposition? You keep repeating the mantra that the GOP is the stupid party but you don't back that up with anything.

I'll say it again. Stop believing the liberal media. Analyze the polls. Understand they have been spun. Read the questions they ask. Learn what is BS and what is real. "Most Americans blame the GOP for the shutdown." That doesn't mean most Americans are mad about the shutdown or mad at the GOP. The real question asked was: "who caused the shutdown?"
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2...fraud.html

You are not helping the situation and no different than the liberals who push the problem. America is not fuming mad at the GOP. There is a reason the liberal media needs to fabricate polls. Rise above it. Stop playing the liberal game.

Republicans are the stupid party. Democrats are the evil party. Evil is worse than stupid.

My biggest concern is that the republicans are the only ones standing between us and the evil democrats (and I really, seriously, do mean evil) and their stupidity is keeping them from doing an effective job.

You can't change policy without winning elections. I spent a couple of weeks this past summer with John Sununu and he kept saying that over and over again. Republicans should have every possible focus on doing whatever they need to do to take over the senate and broaden their margin in the house in 2014. Instead, they seem hell bent on doing everyting they can to destroy what should have been a huge advantage.

With no shutdown, the only thing the news can cover over the last two weeks is the total cluster**** that the Obamacare rollout has become. What could possibly be better for republicans than that? What could possibly be worse for republicans that getting blamed for everything from the panda cam being shut off at the Washington zoo to the families of dead soldiers getting stiffed?

Now they probably can't take the senate and could lose the house. If that happens, you can stick a fork in the USA.

Stupidity is often more dangerous than being evil.

Nope. Stupidity will F'ck up, then try and make it right. Evil knows exactly what they are doing and will sell the people down the river on purpose to increase their power.
