This weekend against Tech is a big game for both teams. I think the winner goes bowling the loser implodes. If Tech doesn't turnover the ball every time there about to score, should be a close game. It would also be nice if Tech forced some turnovers which hasn't happened all year.

Good luck UNT this weekend. My dawgs have to decide if they want to compete.

UNT is 3-3 and just smothered MTSU which is a way better team than Tech. Problem is we can beat ANYONE at home but can't really win on the road.

That being said, I think we win the West as well.

A way better team please. Maybe a better coached team. Tech has better athletes than MTSU and North Texas. Tech is going to finally play a complete game and beat UNT. It will be close cause thats the way skip likes them. I think UNT is better prepared and motivated than Tech but Techs players are better than UNT. No turnovers Tech by 14.

You make questionable statements and assume a lot. We'll see Saturday.07-coffee3

LMFAO.

You're something.

We have two potential NFL draft picks in Chancellor and Orr. Maybe even Darnell Smith and Cyril Lemon.

If Tech had more talent you wouldn't be 7 point dogs at home.

Love all the smack talk from the UNT fans! Makes game week more interesting. Tech has historically been pretty good as home dogs but this is our first season with Skip so this week should tell us a lot. UNT will be surprised with how good Dixon is and he will be the best offensive player on field but I have no idea who wins and Vegas usually knows what they are doing. Should be a good game.

Seriously doubt if UNT will be surprised about Dixon just like Tech won't be surprised about any of our players. Speaking of smack talk. Looks like UNT folks are just answering Tech folks posts. We will see Saturday won't we ?07-coffee3

I already know why:
1. If Tulane wins the west at 10-2 or 9-3, then ECU's loss @Tulane suddenly looks respectable.
2. Tulane's entrance in the C-USA title game would give ECU another shot at Tulane to exact some sort of revenge.
3. The perception of the AAC improves dramatically if Tulane continues their current form.

Which is why I'm going to find it awesome when it's UNT vs Marshall for the championship!

Screw the AAC.

LOL, you're using the wrong bait daddy. No one took the bait. It was funny though. 01-wingedeagle

Oh Lord, please don't send us to Marshall for a game. I was there in '88 and still have not gotten over it. A real nightmare.

Looks to me like Tulane has the toughest schedule left in the west. Rice has a schedule that should help. They have conference games vs UTEP, N Tx, LaTech, UAB, and Tulane left. Only one of those teams has won more games than they lost. Of the 5, Rice gets 3 at home. The biggest challenges look to be N Tx in Denton and Tulane at Rice Stadium. Rice might have the most favorable schedule for taking the west.

I won't comment on the Tulane game, but Apogee Stadium is a rough neighborhood. If Rice comes out of there with a W, I'll be very impressed.

I know they beat ECU but I thought it was apparent that ECU was actually quite a bit better. Tulane plays road games at FAU, UTSA and Rice, all dangerous games for a team just getting by some of these conference games. Tulane will still go bowling but I don't think they make it to the champ game.

UNT vs Marshall in the championship game likely at Marshall. Should be a very good game.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was hoping UNT could fly under the radar for another week. Our schedule looks pretty good for the second half of the season, but we have yet to win a road game this season. I'm sure coach Mac is challenging the players to end that fact against LA Tech. If this team can start playing road games like they play in Apogee, then yes we probably will win the West. I just have to see us handle our business in Ruston before I join your bandwagon. It should be a good game tomorrow. Go Mean Green!

That Rice game will be an excellent game and should have an excellent crowd. Pretty much every coach agrees that a half full Apogee Stadium is louder than a lot of full 30k stadiums and now that our attendance is rising, it will only get harder to win at Apogee. We're 10-4 there. I'll be sold on Rice if they can beat us on Halloween in front of a rowdy (drunk) and loud crowd.

We've got to start winning on the road, though. There aren't many teams I don't think we wouldn't beat at home, but we struggle heavily on the road. This holds me off from going gung-ho on us winning the West. Us home vs on the road are two different things.
