Apple picks Ball State
Apple picks Ball State Alum to head retail operations.

Maybe a huge donation is coming up! 04-jawdrop

I could have linked to the New York Times, but the Muncie Star Press seems more fitting!

RE: Apple picks Ball State
In all seriousness, our brothers at Ball State have some good programs, just as we do. MAC schools need some appreciation, including from each other!

e.g., "In 2011, Ahrendts led the creation of a $1 million emerging-media scholarship fund at Ball State 'to cultivate the next generation of talent in disciplines that are at the heart of digital media, marketing and merchandising.' The fund benefits the Bold Celebration Scholars and Burberry Emerging Media Scholars programs."

You know a NIU MBA alum was responsible for iPhones originally being exclusive with AT&T.

No. NIU alums are all over the place. Let's hear more about alum success.

I've thought about this a few times since Ned Colletti (NIU alum) is the GM of the Dodgers. I wonder if anyone in the ath. department has contacted him to see if Dodger stadium would allow for a football game. We could try and set something up there as a neutral site against a bigger name school out west. No doubt it would sell out quickly just for being at Dodger stadium.

He's the GM, not the owner. He has no say so on that.

However, it is pretty awesome that the GM to a famous team and successful team comes from NIU. Pretty damn good company.

If he went up to ownership and said you can make X amount of dollars and it was a good sum, they would listen.

There are a lot business folks from NIU. I can think of at least 10 people in my office that are director level or higher from NIU...
