[OT] Vandy baseball
Last week I was listening to an interview with Tim Corbin, Vandy baseball coach, on MLB radio. He was being interviewed because several of his players were prominent in the playoffs (David Price, Sonny Gray, Pedro Alvarez among them).

He was on the road in Florida recruiting. Said that Vanderbilt had a lot to offer recruits, but it didn't hurt that they could see former Vandy players on TV during the playoffs. Said that he maintained close ties with former players and that Vandy had a locker room for players who were playing pro ball with each player given a locker that they could use anytime back.

I meant to write this soon after I heard the interview because I thought there was more that was pertinent for Rice baseball fans, but that's what I remember now.

BTW here is another thing pertinent to Rice fans: Get directions to Vanderbilt baseball: "Follow Broadway and veer right toward West End Avenue. Turn left onto 25th Avenue and right on Jess Neely Drive. The front entrance to Hawkins Field is directly across from the McGugin Athletic Center located at 2601 Jess Neely Drive. "
