Felt like sharing. I'm the manager of the NIU Huskie Marching Band facebook page so I get the rare opportunity of taking my phone out and snapping pictures whenever I can. Here's a little insight into our homecoming (Friday into Saturday)


Waiting for the NIU Student association parade to come by. Playin' some rock tunes (offspring, Macklemore, etc)

It rained.....a lot.

We get to have a little bit of downtime before going on for our pregame show. I like to sit and watch the Coaches coach the opposition (usually the offensive linemen) in the endzone.

During pregame. I was a little daring on this one, but I managed to pull it off.

I'm pretty lucky to stand in front (and be able to see all the player benches, hear the coaches, an hear a lot of their talk/gameplanning)

In the 3rd picture you can really tell where the old turf ends and the new begins. I'm really surprised they chose to cut that corner, while it certainly doesn't hinder game play, isn't it akin to getting new carpeting in about 80% of your living room, but skipping the new stuff under the coach, loveseat, and recliner, because nobody really sees it anyway?"
