I think Vegas dogged us last week and I would've bet heavily on us if gambling were my thing. I this +6.5 is also a bit generous especially if Reardon were playing. Of course, we're not sure which Fisher shows up.

Another article/video from today:

Quote:MOBILE, Alabama - Each time he looks at game film, South Alabama defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer sees something else Kent State's offense does well. In fact, all the South Alabama coaches -- are not looking at the Golden Flashes' record, they are trusting what they see on the field.

Fisher is starting @ QB, Horning @ Punter, Miller @ Kicker, & Stalls @ Free Safety.

Sloppy so far, a couple false starts on the LT, a dropped pass in the endzone and a blocked FG. From that distance and hash they should've went for it. First play on D and they gash us for a bunch and continued to run a fast paced offense all the way down for a TD.

On a positive note, I think Fisher looks comfortable, so I'm hoping he has a solid day.

Amazing how much has changed in just 1 year. I saw SA's first offensive drive and just turned it off.

Such a pound and ground offense that people have caught onto (focus everything on #1) . Then SA runs a swing pass and breaks 4 arm tackles for like a 50 yard gain and score without any resistance running a fast paced offense.

Wake me up when basketball begins!

I miss Hazell regardless of if this team's performance is explained by injuries/coaches/recruiting etc.

Come on Trayion, hit that hole hard!!! You have to be able to get us these short yardage gains and convert...and as I'm typing this he did it again on 4th down.

Terrell Johnson with 2 false start penalties on the 1st drive, then the line breaks down and allows the FG to get blocked.

Rock is going to have to let Fisher throw the ball, as South Alabama is clearly keying on Durham every play.

This is South Alabama's 1st yr in Division 1 football.

This is game 8, inexperience excuse is out the door, as many teams across the country are dealing with the same or worse.

Yes we miss Hazell but we also lost a lot on D from last year. funny, but in my boredom before the game started I looked at the book that chronicled last season. And in the preseason article of last year Hazell mentions how we have no depth at LB and O-line just like he thought the year before. Well one season later and neglecting those areas in recruiting and developing depth are showing through in a big way.

Toledo tied with Navy 38-38 in OT. Akron 21 Miami of OH 7 with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter (will be Akron's 1st road win vs D1 opponent since 2008 and their 1st win @ Yeager Stadium).
Ohio laying it on EMU, 42-21 (EMU had a player murdered last night, crazy).
Ball State 17 WMU 3 @ Halftime from Kalamzoo MI.

Big stop by the defense on 4th & 1. Great job D-Line!

Luckily for us their RB looked like ours on their 4th and 1 and we get the ball back.

Interesting to see Maxie get tossed in their for that play when Fisher needed to come out. Fisher playing with a lot of hustle, pulling it down and running a bit and diving for the extra yards.

Offensive execution has been abysmal thus far and is going to burn out the thin/banged up defense if they dont get it going soon.

Roosevelt Nix & Dylan Farrington in street clothes on the sidelines. The depth will be tested on defense today more than it has all season.
