RE: MAC Football - Week 7 Games
BSU drives to the Kent 10 and go for it on 4th and long down 24-20 and the pass is incomplete and Kent takes over.....I would've kicked the FG with over 7 minutes left in game....then if they got the ball back they'd only need another FG to win.

Touchdown BSU with only 1:29 to go.

UMass driving late in the 4th quarter, 17-10 Minutemen. On the verge of winning their first game in Gillette.

Miami loses to UMASS...may get the #1 slot in Bottom Ten list this week. What Treadwell did to our program is just criminal.

Nice hard fought win for BSU....they are looking to improve their bowl prospects, especially with Ohio losing.

Massachusett's flagship school wins!!!

(I didn't know UMass was considered Massachusett's flagship school but I saw the commercial).

UMass, Ohio and UB must all be flagships...

It's shocking. But these things can turn around quickly.

RE: MAC Football - Week 7 Games
Bottom line is that we either win next week or go winless on the season. These three weeks against CMU, UMass, and Akron are the 'easy' part of our schedule, what's going to happen when we play Ball State and BG?

Anything can happen. Plenty of upsets today prove that.

A little O/T, but a lot of top 25 teams have gone down or are in trouble (which would be great news for NIU).

Georgia, Oklahoma have lost.

UofM is trailing PSU at the half; Northwestern is trailing badly. Florida is also trailing.

Other games are very competitive.

Georgia and Oklahoma have no chance of falling behind us. In fact, Mizzou will jump us now.

Michigan and Northwestern losing should help. Florida probably won't fall below us either.

I would blame the AD. There were more than one poor hires.

If I'm not mistaken, Miami's current AD is not the person who hired Treadwell.

Correct. Brad Bates was hired at Boston College last fall, David Sayler took over in late January when it would've been too late to fire Treadwell.

How did Kent not score 28? Last I saw they were on the 1 after an int.

Ball State stuffed them 3 straight plays because they knew were running their big RB. I think he ran for 0 yard and then lost yards on the next two carries.

RE: MAC Football - Week 7 Games
Kent never really threw the ball down field but it seemed like Ball State never forced them to air it out. Also, it looked like the backup (was he 3rd string) got jittery when pressure was applied. On the 4th down play, he decided to try to run on 4th and 15 and then thought, Oh crap, but it was too late by that point.

RE: MAC Football - Week 7 Games
Good job on the Akron defense on never letting our offense get in a rhythm. We only scored 10 points the last 3 quarters and stopped us multiple times making us settle for FGs.

For some unknown reason our kicker Matt Sims did not play in this game and we had to use our punter for FGs and PATs. Needless to say, he didn't such a hot job on FGs.

19 MAC wins in a row for NIU. Doesn't that tie the all-time record?

Yes, the 250lbs. Bulldozer is a guaranteed yard until you actually need a yard; when it's so predictable he gets stuffed every time.
