And who notified who first that they were withdrawing their name from consideration for the AD job, or who notified who that they were not being selected for the job. I suspect the first article someone posted here was right. They wanted a puppet for an AD and they got one that would do their bidding.

This certainly puts to rest the fiction that Wally Hall put out this morning that it was Peterson's choice to stay here rather than take the UNLV job. His "withdrawal" and the announcement of the present AD continuing at UNLV were simultaneous.
