RE: Would it make sense to move Ganus back to Safety?
I really hate to move Ganus. Linebacker is his natural position. I've watched him since the 10th grade, and that was always the case. He became a QB because he was the most dynamic player at his high school, but he was still a linebacker at heart.
However, I can understand the move if the coaches think we have more linebackers that can be effective, and we don't have more safeties that can. I suspect this is the case.
The Cortez Webb issue is a mystery. McGee bragged on him a lot last pre-season. Then, something changed during the season last year. Webb went way down the chart.

I've always wondered why D. Brown isn't playing a little more at CB/Saf he seemed to have some upside all practices I've seen. Also Brackett needs to take his lumps this season start him the rest of the season.

RE: Would it make sense to move Ganus back to Safety?
Based on what I heard from the McGee media that Blazergreen quoted above, I wouldn't be surprized to see him back there in some situations, maybe as a rover back type role. He may also just stick w/ his current role but communicate w/ the dbs to make sure they're doing what they should be. I think it might be time to take some RS off of the DB or DL. Will any of this help, who knows but it's bad enough to at least try something new to see.
