So now you're jumping from "we'll never be ranked" to "no one in our conference will ever win a NC"? That's a HUGE difference. Hell, we got votes as an FCS team after we beat Tech. I doubt we'd come close to getting votes most years, no doubt. But to say we will never, ever be ranked is so pessimistic I'm actually depressed for you.

OK, maybe there is an outside chance that they might get votes for a lower ranking at some point in time but if you think the powers that be will ever let them in the "big boy club" and have a shot at a NC then keep on drinking that kool aid if it makes you feel better.

I never said "I demand you...". I simply said "it would be enough." Spelling it out a bit more for ya, all I meant was that pessimism - such as the special brand you're displaying - is best left to those not in charge. I think only the most optimistic among the pro-FBS crowd here thinks that JMU has a short-term chance to be a player in the larger world of college football. Most of us, however, think that we can be competitive right away in the FBS conferences most likely to be interested in us. Whether that means receiving votes in a poll, I don't know. I think many of us also feel that being in the top 25 in a poll that no longer contains Appalachian State or Georgia Southern, and possibly (eventually) won't have Towson, Delaware, and some other midwestern and western schools, just isn't as attractive as it used to be.
