The one play that changed the fate of the FIU game
Can someone tell me why Monken didn't challenge the punt play where the ball CLEARLY bounced off of an FIU player's foot and we recovered? We were up 7 at that point with great field position if we get the ball back. Instead, we don't challenge and FIU goes down the field in a few plays and scores to tie the game up.

This one play could and would have changed the momentum completely in USM's favor. I was dumbfounded as to why we didn't challenge that play and equally dumbfounded as to the announcer's stating that it was inconclusive. It was PLAIN AS DAY 04-chairshot

I think that would be something called from upstairs by an assistant coach. They would have seen the reply & made the call on if it was something that we would have won or not. In the NFL the head coach only challenges when he has confirmation by someone in the coaches box upstairs that it is something that could possibly be overturned. I assume we do it the same way.
