The guy who made the hit on Warfard was lined up several yards offsides before he made his helmet to helmet hit. Two missed calls (possibly three if it wasn't a fumble) on that play alone.

Then we get called for a phantom hold on the kick return (long discussion between the refs after that one).

Refs don't decide ball games 03-lmfao03-lmfao

On ESPN3.com, the holding never was visible on the replay, they showed 3 different angles. It really was a "queue the crickets" moment. But we did get a "Back to the action...."

The same discussion that picked up a "holding' flag on MTSU on a key third down conversion. I've never seen a holding call overruled by another official. Until then.

The head ref was skeptical of the flag. I was at the game, but watching the ESPN3 broadcast now that I'm home, they didn't see a hold either. Already 3 or 4 posts about the refs on the AAC Facebook page. O'Leary couldn't believe it either.

RE: Criminal
How can you be that far offsides and not have a flag thrown on you? And then the helmet to helmet hit following it.
