RE: I'll see you guys back at Legion Field next month
I was wondering if I could trade some of my football tickets in for some basketball games.

oh you're right. I guess one of us can admit when their wrong or off base.
So who are you gonna criticize now.
WE LOSE...let people vent. Get it out their system.
So someone comes on here and reads the message board. At least they know we aren't sitting here happy to be losing.

Which makes his statement the most damaging to the OCS issue. When mixedup says he's not going to another game, the BOT doesn't care. When Frenchie and his ilk does, they know their plan is working and it won't be long before they can shut it down.
So (for this thread) you admit they have a plan?

+1. McGee's audacity gets old sometimes, but he was bold enough to take this job. Now we have to wait and see if he can actually build a program.

I don't think most want McGee gone, but he has to do something about that defense. Also, stop trying to pump sunshine up my arse. Be honest, we are not gonna win a championship in 2 years not even 3 or 4, but building a program takes patients. Give me 3 years and by year 4 I will have us going bowling. I prefer a honest realistic coach over sunny skies and bullcrap.
He may have honest convinced himself he would come in and by year 2 or 3 win a championship, but realistically he should know that Rome wasn't built in a day. If you give people realistic expectations then they have realistic patients. But when you tell people I'm gonna have us playing for a championship in no time then guess what...you get this type of feed back.
Thats all I'm saying. but I stick by my rule. 4 years. A coach gets four years, because by year 4 it's all his players and most of they should have bought into his system and know how it works.

You don't want realism. It doesn't inspire confidence. When he says that stuff, he isn't talking to the fans. He is talking to the team, trying to change their expectations and make them believe they can win. I can't believe people are so dense they can't see that.

Uhm, i think that's what I just asked for, realism. And in my line of work, we're realistic. That makes you realize what you have to do to get better.
And if I'm correct he said that to the fans at a podium addressing the fans. And he has said that repeatedly in interviews with no players around.
You know, you're not always right. That last statement, by you, was an opinion, not a fact. You're slipping...get some rest and come back at it fresh and new tomorrow. GN

Im VERY disappointed in the game yesterday with most aspects of the game aside from the ability to run back kickoffs and kick field goals and punt into the endzone. BUT, I WILL be back at the next home game, and every one thereafter that Im in town for. My allegence is to UAB and even crappy performances will not keep me away.

RE: I'll see you guys back at Legion Field next month
Every coach has some idea of the team he has, but he may not be so knowledgeable in his first years about the teams around the league that UAB must play. After a couple of years of recruiting against them, he will know more precisely just what the other guys will have next season because he (or his staff) will have been in their recruit's homes as well as his own.
Our staff will have the chance to improve performance by improving recruiting over 2 or 3 years. That is when "the clock" should start to run on his success - or not.
I will be at every home game I can manage regardless of record.
