Fair warning to Notre Dame and all other ACC football teams! FIFY
Never stomp on the Cardinal Bird, I repeat never. Watch happened to Miami for doing it.
And look what happened to the Bearcats!
For every Louisville fan, the most memorable game in the Keg of Nails series will always be the 70-7 beatdown in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in 2004. That game became famous as the birthplace of the "don't stomp on the bird" mantra. The Bearcats stomped on the Louisville Cardinal logo at midfield. The Cardinals stomped on Cincinnati. It was a vintage Bobby Petrino blowout. Eric Shelton scored on an 80 yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage and the rout was on. The Cardinals rushed for 357 yards and lead 21-0 after the first quarter, 42-0 at halftime, and 63-0 after three quarters.

Uhhhh, if you want to take credit for beating a Larry Coker-lead team that finished 7-6 that year and ultimately led to his firing, be my guest... Let me know when you guys play us in the Al Golden era. :)

What happened when teams stomped the bird during the Kragthorpe years?
Otto Says he's going to personally stomp the bird the next time he goes down to Papa Johns

Those were fantastic games and so much fun. I believe the last 4 times it happened was something like -- (1) 10-02-04: Louisville 59 – East Carolina 7, (2) 10-22-04: Louisville 41- South Florida 9, (3) 11-11-05: 11-24-04 Louisville 70 – Cincinnati 7, and (4)11-11-05: Louisville 56 – Rutgers 5, 9-16-06: Louisville 31 – Miami 7. Might be strictly coincidence but heaven knows the guys do get fired up over it and Petrino would go nuts over it. Don't know Charlie's attitude about since I don't anyone has tried to do since he's been here.

ND doesn't stomp on logos. ND has teams like Michigan State plant flags at midfield...er, the thirty five yard line (they apparently got confused about where midfield was located).

I have to decide whether it's worth going to BW3's to see it. I don't have cable in Blacksburg so there's 4 games on Thursday and I can't see any of them.
