One quote that caught my attention:

"There's a definite correlation between resources and the likelihood of success," Northwestern athletic director Jim Phillips said. "It certainly doesn't guarantee success, but if you under-resource it, you're setting yourself up to not meet or exceed the goals that you have."

It's called cheating. Cheaters do win. When the punishment does NOTHING to deter the crime it will continue to escalate. Imagine if our laws enforcement worked like the NCAA. Crime would be so bad we would have to leave the country or walk around old west style wearing guns to protect ourselves.

& when the media looks the other way & ignores this, they in my opinion are no better than those who are cheating.

Yep. It extends to basketball as well. Lots of shenanigans going on.
