Weather Forecast For the Latter Part of the Week
Looks like no chance of rain currently for Friday Night's Hoops on the Haasephalt, however there will probably be some rain coming in towards the evening on Saturday. Nothing severe though.
Hopefully we can get the game in before it comes down.

It would be nice if would wait until Saturday night......at least late enough to not affect the crowd too much.

So far, it seems to only rain on "home game" Saturdays.

We are 1-0 this season when it rains during a home game. If it works again, ill be fine with it happening again after that.

Sure and then only 8,000 people will show again.
Our attendance this year will suck way worse than normal. Our best attended games are always early in the year. So killing the attendance with weather is what we want?
It didn't rain during the game at all, it rained before the game.
We may have a decent crowd for MTSU is we have won a few games by then. The Thursday Rice game may or may not have good attendance, hard to tell about a thursday game. And the So Miss game likely will be the lowest attendance, last game, 2 days after thanksgiving, same day as some other instate rival game, although done way before, and likely cold weather. Last game never, ever, ever has had decent attendance.

When you have 6,000 people coming to games, you need all the fans you can take.

Considering there hasn't been any fair weather, I don't think we have much to worry about.

Then we will never have the opportunity to turn them into die hard fans. Did you see the freshman run, it was a joke, like 50 of the 1300 freshman class. Most students are fair weather fans, until they become our fans or fans of other teams.
Like it or not I would say we need fair weather fans to get to the next level and a stadium. We have to few die hards.

Luckily the weather forecast now has saturday at 20% and the 60% chance has moved to Sunday. So its looking likely that saturday's weather will be much nicer (keeping fingers crossed).

RE: Weather Forecast For the Latter Part of the Week
Quote:the main 24 hour window for rain going from about 3:00 p.m. Saturday until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, but this could change as we get better clarity on the timing of the tropical system. I know there are many outdoor events doing on in Alabama this weekend, and there is a decent chance that Saturday morning will be dry, at least over the northern half of the state. But, rain will move up from the south by Saturday afternoon and into Saturday night, continuing into the day Sunday.
The disturbance over the Caribbean will be picked up by the long wave upper trough that will move into the Central U.S. later this week, and models are in good agreement the system will make landfall on the Central Gulf Coast at some point Friday night or Saturday. The GFDL model brings potential Tropical Storm Karen up into Dauphin Island, as a strong tropical storm, late Friday night...

I get warning levels when I say stuff like that.
What? All I said was that the Blazertalk members with an iq of under 131 didn't have a sense of humor.

RE: Weather Forecast For the Latter Part of the Week
I hope the game is played in a tropical storm so that we have no choice but to run the FN ball. I'd rather have a crowdless win at this point. Even if we pulled 33,000 they'd claim it wasn't true. So f em.
