And we didn't get into the national title game. Our OOC schedule was ok not great, we beat Oregon State at Oregon State (they went on to have a great year in the Pac and beat USC that year) and we beat Illinois and Fresno at home that year and Hawaii on the road. UofL schedule isn't near as good at our was in 2009 (not that our 2009 was all world, but it was solid). UofL isn't getting into the BCS title game unless about 8 teams take a dump and lose twice.
I agree with almost all of this.
However, Louisville does have two things that Cincy didn't have that year. First, they started with a very high ranking and were considered a national contender. Second, they have a legitimate Heisman candidate.
I might even add a third thing in extension to the second one. With Louisville playing a softer schedule, Bridgewater has an opportunity to put up even greater numbers than if he was playing against SEC competition, even though I believe the SEC is overrated (save Alabama) on defense this year.

Good point on the fact UofL started ranked and the 2009 UC team didn't...that does make a difference but I still say the crap ooc and conference schedule UofL is playing vs the schedule UC played in 2009 isn't going to make up for the start in the polls for both teams respectively.

I think it is telling that Coach Strong was not pitching the Championship he was answering questions asked of him. We hope we go undefeated, we don't take that for granted, we would love a shot at a title but again few Cards fan Expect it.

Well you have to like the fact that BOTH Louisville is actually a mention when it comes to the title game --- but I think we all agree that it's Bridgewater that has a real and legitimate chance at bringing major national attention to the Louisville program. Both during the season with his numbers and with the Heisman talk --- and if he actually wins the Heisman.

I'm not sure the American is going to get an at-large team in the BCS this year, but if we do, I wish well.

I like the Woodford Reserve, Makers Mark, Knob Creek and Buffalo Trace.
I add Copa De Oro to my coffee every morning.

Never had Copa de Oro. How does it differ from Kahlua?

About the same in taste, but only costs about $8 per bottle, compared to Kahlua at $19 to $21 for the same size bottle. Kahlua or Baileys do taste better enough to me to pay the differce, when I'm adding it to coffee.

This is not a bad choice, especially when its on sale at the Warehouse Clubs, which sometimes makes it half the price of Baileys.

Let's wait and see if Louisville can go through the American undefeated first before we worry about their BCS Title hopes.
After all, that's just part of what has to happen for Louisville to make the MNC game.
As I was saying . . .
