RE: National CBS Sports Radio Hosts called UCONN Football: Div I-AA program
Who cares?? How many of those programs went to BCS bowls, beat Notre Dame in South Bend, beat USC in a bowl, get schools like Mihigan, Tennesee, UVA, UMD, ISU, Baylor, etc to play at their stadium, have the facilities UConn has, and has the budget UConn has?
It was a bad coaching hire, nothing more nothing less. Lville survived Kragthorpe, Cuse survived Grob, BC will eventually survive Spaz, USC will survive Kiffen, and UConn will eventually survive Pasqualoni.

Some might...as comments by others on national radio and TV shows have been talked about on this board (and EVERY other sports board I know) in the past...and since I heard those comments last night, I decided to post them here (hope that was ok).

Some might consider that a compliment the way they have played this year

Stupid people should not be on radio :) It seems any douche bag can get a radio job these days, educated or not.

It was the wrong time for a bad hire tho. From 2007-2010, Louisville was 22-27. UConn was 33-19 during this period. Since 2011, Louisville is 22-8, UConn is 10-18. A couple more 8/9 win type seasons might not have gotten them into the ACC but it wouldn't have hurt.

I totally agree. Lol some of the fans complaining about UConn would love to have one of those trophies UConn has in the case. No team is without a bad hire in its history. Alabama and Notre same have laid some golden eggs in the coaching department. As pitino always says "people love to live in a microwave society". I won't be casting any stones because I sat through 3 god awful seasons under Steve kragthorpe.

RE: National CBS Sports Radio Hosts called UCONN Football: Div I-AA program
Thread got me curious to look up some stats.
UConn -v-
................Baylor (2-0)
................Duke (2-0)
................Indiana (2-0)
................Iowa State (1-1)
................Louisville (4-5)
................Maryland (1-1)
................Notre Dame (1-0)
................Pittsburgh (5-4)
................South Carolina (1-0)
................Syracuse (6-3)
................Vanderbilt (1-2)
................Virginia (1-1)
................Wake Forest (1-1)
Not bad for an "FCS" school. Maybe those opponents ought to consider moving down when this new Division 4 happens.

True...which is why I posted so that some UCONN fans could help educate this former hockey play-by-play guy that doesn't have much background in regards to college football (believe he even went to Ithaca College, not much of football exposure there).
