Should it ran as forcast, it will come down to the lines and I like the Cajuns Offensive line against Texas State front.

I will give you Tech because they have no run game period but can you explain to me your definition of way more balanced than Wyoming? I know you are telling me that the Cajuns are more talented and that Wyoming is nothing special on Offense but can you show me how you arrived at that opinion?

I don't look at single game results, or just the competition played. First, UL's passing game is not better then Texas Tech or Wyoming's. I watched Wyoming against Nebraska and Texas State, and UL has more talent at the skill positions on the offensive side of the football period.

The Cajuns lost four starters on offensive that beat a good ECU team in the New Orleans Bowl. You have yet to see the UL offense find consistency and rhythm yet this season. ECU is more talented then the Wyoming team I watched Saturday night. We have not seen that same offense that won 5 games down the stretch last season and beat a very talented ECU.

If UL finds that rhythm Saturday, Texas State will have a long ride back to San Marcos. If they don't it will be a struggle to win period.

I'm not talking about just passing, talent, or 2012. You said Louisiana is "way more" balanced, can you show me where you see that? When you say balanced I think your saying better at both the run and pass than Wyoming, as in we are fixing to face our best offense yet. Can you show me where you get that?

The Cajuns have rushed for 874 yards and passed for 850 yards, are you saying they are not balanced compared to 967 yards on the ground and 1,614 yards passing for Wyoming after 5 games. Who is more balanced?

Please tell me how you think a Wyoming team that beat Air Force (1-4), Idaho and Northern Colorado is way more talented then UL? They have lost to the only two teams with a winning record on their schedule.

This game will be a battle and I expect it be one. But there is a reason UL is a 10 pt favorite in this game, its because we've only lost one game at home the past two seasons. Lets see what happens Saturday night.

Louisiana to Take Part in Social Media Challenge vs. Texas State

Contact: Nick Ross

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns and Texas State Bobcats athletic departments will be competing in a Social Media Challenge beginning Monday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m, and running until Saturday, Oct. 5 at 5p.m. Just one hour before kickoff between the two school's football programs.

The challenge will span the three current major social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and will be based solely on the number of followers or 'likes' gained in the time period. The winning school will gain pride, and the losing school will be forced to publish a photograph of either a mascot, coach or administrator wearing a t-shirt from the winning school.

The Ragin' Cajuns social media platforms will also be hosting multiple daily contests, including trivia and scavenger hunts, testing fans knowledge of not only the athletic history, but the school and cities as well.

"This is a great opportunity for both schools to spread their fan bases, as well as have fun doing it," Louisiana Assistant Director for Athletics Marketing and Promotions, Eric Maron said. "It's something we have been excited about and I know that Texas State has been excited as well. We wanted a creative way to grow our fan base on social media."

Aside from the contests that will be running through the week, the Official Ragin' Cajuns social media pages are the best way to get up-to-date news on Ragin' Cajuns athletics.

Fans are encouraged to talk about the contest on any Social Media outlet, to use the UL FanChallenge. We are pushing the use of ULFanChallenge and TXSTFanChallenge during the contest so people can track progress on their own.

To be fair, True Blood is suppose to take place in North Louisiana so "Lafayette" is probably a LSU, Tech or ULM fan.

Wyoming
HOME PASSING STATS 53/86 566 yards
AWAY PASSING STATS 89/133 1048 yards (3 away games)
HOME RUSHING STATS 81 Carries 435 yards
AWAY RUSHING STATS 103 Carries 532 yards (3 away games)

Louisiana
HOME PASSING STATS 13/16 164 (1 game versus Southland)
AWAY PASSING STATS 61/100 686 (3 away games)
HOME RUSHING STATS 53 carries 456 yards ( 1 game versus Southland)
AWAY RUSHING STATS 115 carries 418 yards (3 away games)

I agree with you Couyon that your team is balanced, but don't take anything away from Wyoming because they are not a pass only offense. I want you to focus on the number of snaps they have put out versus yours. It takes high caliber athletes that are physically fit to run an offense like that at that kind of fast pace, no matter who you play.

Where did you find the picture of those two idiots in the swamp? Cowboy boots in the swamp make as much sense as flip flops on the frozen tundra. I'm guessing this is from some new "Louisiana Reality Show"?

They billed this as "Big News" at UL so I'm not to happy being jerked around. I don't tweet and only use facebook to keep up with extended family and old friends. I remember when going online meant you put your phone on top of a modem and used text commands!04-jawdrop

Huh? All i was saying is don't knock Wyomings wins because ULL's wins are almost identical to Wyoming's in the opponents skill level..

Had nothing to do with the TxSt vs ULL game. Hoping for a good matchup, I hate watching blowouts, so boring.

no crying. go back to last years thread on the game. i don't remember crying from anyone. it was just a very weird way to end a game on a potential game winning catch. no review at all.

i thought that's what replay was for. no? dowling's foot may very well have been on the line. but nobody checked. the referee crew of arceneaux, boudreau, and simoneau bolted from the field like they stole gator skins.

Then please tell me how you think a ULL team that has beat an FCS team (bad one in fact) and a 1-4 Akron ranked 10 Spots above Georgia State is any more impressive than Wyoming's Wins? Not saying who is better, but neither Wyoming or ULL have a more "impressive" win.

Here is the difference, you and several others are using Wyoming as some landmark win and that somehow projects as a win over UL. There is no Cajun fan here talking about a big win over Akron, it was expected. This team has beaten good teams in the Sun Belt over the past few years. Texas State has yet to beat anyone in the Sun Belt, much less a bowl team. Now we will see what happens Saturday night.

bobcats throw a hail mary caught in the back of the end zone as time expires. refs rule foot out of bounds.

no replay is looked at like it's 1976.

cajuns run off field in celebration.

i can't believe that not one cajun fan responded to this prediction.

but then again none of 'em wanted to discuss it last year either.

no crying. go back to last years thread on the game. i don't remember crying from anyone. it was just a very weird way to end a game on a potential game winning catch. no review at all.

i thought that's what replay was for. no? dowling's foot may very well have been on the line. but nobody checked. the referee crew of arceneaux, boudreau, and simoneau bolted from the field like they stole gator skins.

Oh please......you know as well as anyone that the Sun Belt refs practice equal opportunity incompetence.....as for the play...he was out of bounds.....don't make me sic Z on you beed...btw, props for spelling the names correctly...03-wink
