Those are expenses, not budgets. Big difference

The shockers to me in the top 20 are Nebraska & Auburn...what a waste of money. Someone ought to be asking what they are getting for their money.

Right, sorry about that. Revenues and expenses aren't broken down but were 46.7 million total ..each. Here ->

Ole Miss came within a couple free throws of making the Sweet 16 with their #117 expenses ranking.

That's one way to look at it.

Another way to look at it.
SEC Tournament Champions - 2
NCAA appearances - 7
Sweet 16 appearances - 1

It is important to believe a very rare nice little run stands for a pedestrian history.

Enjoy that near high water mark skiz.

RE: D1 basketball budgets for all 344 schools
It's interesting (and maybe a little insulting) that current AAC member schools appear to be suffering from Philip Nolan Syndrome since these programs are the only one represented by "teams without a conference..."

Memphis ()
Louisville ()
Cincinnati ()

Heck, even New Jersey Tech (IND) can claim that its team is part of some kind of identifiable group. Does this mean that the Tigers, Cardinals, Bearcats, Huskies, Mustangs, etc. have all been sentenced to spend the rest of their days at sea, with no parenthetical abbreviation to call home?

The injustice of it all!

Memphis came within 3 plays of beating Tennessee 4 times in football instead of only once. "When ifs and buts become candy and nuts, everyday will be Christmas."

Wins came pretty cheap in CUSA. I expect that cost/win ratio to look quite a bit different in the new conference.

...and our cost per win isn't as high as some others. Check out Louisville/Cincy; they are over $300K per win. Obviously, they have had tougher schedules that influenced that stat. Half million dollars per win is a huge number to come to grips with.

That's a great bang-for-the-buck.

But do they stay competitive once MH finishes up his elegibility?
