Why wouldn't you let those people buy a ticket and support the University?

Do unto others...

I was joking. I get free tickets a lot. Although this past game I was given a ticket instead of having to buy one, and although I did appreciate the financial break (mainly because of the cost of parking), I did think about it and if I'd rather buy a ticket. I didn't...but I thought about it. Maybe that's an advancement in myself as a fan. Still, I agree. I'm getting married in 10 days...my concentration is on my own wallet right now.

RE: Scalping at Legion Field
I refuse to buy a ticket from a scalper anywhere near "Lesion" Field, after one of them greeted me with a "R*** T***", to wit, I responded with a "Go Blazers" & a subsequent "No Sale", I was going to buy season tickets anyway to avoid hassles like this...Don't insult me then expect me to buy something from you. ;-) Also, never, ever buy a ticket from a scalper at a sporting event in Atlanta. Coworker of mine did that once at a Braves game, and got busted big time. They don't play about that over there at all. Isn't someone going to say, "if you think scalpers are a problem over here at Legion Field, wait until UAB gets its' own on campus stadium.?"
