JMU-UD team comparisons
Delaware so far:
W Jacksonville 51-35
W Del State 42-21
L @ Navy 51-7
W Wagner 49-9

Team stat comparison at this point is semi worthless because both have played different OOC schedules, but FWIW:

RE: JMU-UD team comparisons
The Big Boys:

Going off of UD's game notes for Wagner I see the UD OL avg is listed at about 6'5"/301.

JMU with their new up tempo offense has been playing 7 OL: 3 OTs, 3 OGs, and a center. They go 6'6"/310, a pair of 6'6"/300, a pair of 6'5"/295, and a pair of 6'3"/290. Avg about 6'5"/297. All but one have multiple games to multiple seasons starting experience.

So both teams have similar sizes for the fat boys. Not JMU's heaviest OL, as they've avg around/over 300 before, but they have never had this much height.

Even though lost 4th round draft pick All American OG Earl Watford, and a 6'5"/300 potential starter in the Spring for the season due to injury, this is probably the best JMU OL since the 12-2 08' semifinal team. No coincidence that Curt Newsome is back at JMU after 7 seasons at VT.

RE: JMU-UD team comparisons
UD, like JMU, has gone up tempo. Not Oregon up tempo, but up tempo. JMU should be able to hold Andrew Pierce and their running game in check. When UD has the ball the key will be getting pressure on Hurley because of JMU's inexperienced corners. And that will be without Sage Harold at DE. JMU has compiled 14 sacks in the last 3 games. If JMU doesn't get good enough pressure on Hurley then I could see UD being held to around 100 yds rushing but getting 300+ through the air.

Looks like a 3 man rotation at DT with Stanton, Mosely, and Togia.
3-4 at DE with Snow and Lee starting, and either Stallings or Jacques rotating, or maybe both.

Gonna need Robertson and Marlowe to have big games....

RE: JMU-UD team comparisons
I think it's likely they will drive on us using their passing game for most of the day. If we can avoid giving up big plays, we should be able to hold them in goal to go situations on a short field and keep them to field goals. Then, if we don't turn the ball over, we should be (at the very least) in a position to win the game in the 4th quarter.

Re: JMU-UD team comparisons
It appears that Birdsong has more INT's than any QB in the league.
Is that bad?
