This is my last comment on this because it's pointless. So you're argument is based on pure speculation. You are ASSUMING that he handled it poorly from the beginning while having absolutely 0 evidence or information on that matter, unless you are on the team, Calebs bff, or a coach for the team?

Better than it did for Caleb. The goal was to get them to learn from their mistakes. They didn't.

Not sure what you do for a living, but if people report to you, do you manage them in the way you *seem* to be advocating Wilder handles his team?

It's amazing that a thread about suspensions and players leaving the team has devolved into something even worse than that.

Do you know if he didn't.........handle it poorly? Are you not assuming? where's your evidence to support your argument?

This topic is non-debatable. There is not enough evidence for either side. Why talk about it? Perhaps you should find another forum on parenting techniques, or behavior modification, and bring up this topic there.

Seems like you are hell bent on blaming Wilder for this kid's issues (whatever they may be)

So first Wilder shouldn't have brought him into the program then Wilder is not a leader for breaking his own rules to keep a kid on that team that isn't living up his end of the bargain?

Some kids aren't cut out for Division I football. Look up the names Dominique Blackman, Tron Martinez, and Tommy Reamon Jr. Those are players in ODU's short history who were all very talented and for one reason or another just didn't work out. It happens, doesn't mean Wilder is a bad leader or has "some explaining to do."

sirloin, what more should bobby have done to prevent caleb from being benched for a player bw thought was practicing better? wilder's words, not mine.
