The encouraging thing about recent attendance is that it's easy to see us averaging over 50,000 with a winning program. Memphis is hungry.

I have a nephew who is the classic UT football and Memphis basketball fan. During the DeAngelo era he asked me to take him to a football game. I told him there were plenty of tickets available. But he wanted to go with me. Went to pick him up he had on a UT shirt. Made him change it before we left his house.

Yes. Arkansas St brought a ton of fans. When I saw all of them tailgating I was counting on 40K at least.

Arky St. says their fan count was 6k.
According to our park commission, that means there were 323 Tiger fans.

The state of Arkansas got it's fill of AAC teams and chrome helmets last Saturday, losing to both Rutgers and Memphis.

I agree on the full court press for the UCF game.

My wife commented how our son needed to visit Arky State when picking a college because we saw so many cute young ladies. She was joking about him going to Arky St but was serious about how well they traveled and how cute some of the young ladies were.

To defend Memphis, our students have done a much better job of showing up and the ladies look really nice as well.

lol, so you want him to come home that first year with a girl and a bump in her belly asking for money?

there is NOTHING to do in Jonesboro...so they find things to "do"

You should let him check out stAte. They have better academics and the tuition is lower. Heck Ole Miss has lower tuition. It is criminal the way ya'll let the Tennessee government under-fund education.

Astate has lower tuition? That would be news to a lot of us. In state tuition for Astate is higher than in state tuition for Memphis. Plus, living in TN, the hope scholarship pays for all but about $1000 of tuition for Memphis. I have seen some Memphis students pocket $2000 per semester ($4K per year) going to U of Memphis when coupled with the Hope scholarship and other scholarships and qualified grants.

Astate has a good track program, that's about it.
