RE: Positives from Northwestern State Game
So, we hit 6 different targets. Looks pretty spread out to me.

And a word on JJ. I wasn't sure he could be a go-to guy last year. I know he's stupid fast, but I wasn't convinced he could catch. Well, he's still stupid fast, and he's catching every-damn-thing.
And Adams got in the game. JP hit him right between the numbers at the goal line, and he got it jarred loose.
Backman is a beast. He would have had more catches if he wouldn't have been interfered with on multiple occasions (no calls by the refs). We sat on the visitor's side. I was very close to the Backman play when he absolutely leveled the would be tackler.

Backman will be working Sundays in the not-too-distant future.

We also had several plays where we had 2 TE's in the game or even Henderson as a blocking FB.

RE: Positives from Northwestern State Game
Here's my list:
*Mrs. Dragon and our 4 kids tailgated with friends in the rain. Despite how that sounds, we had fun.
*While tailgating, a UAB athletic department employee came and asked my almost 6 year old son to be an honorary team captain at the coin toss. He did, and it was an awesome experience for him!! (and me)!
*My 4 month old attended his first Blazer game ever. He slept through the first half in the skybox (and bothered no one), and we all sat outside for the second half, and we bothered no one. At 4 months, he is 1-0 all-time at UAB games!
*My kids ages 9, 5, 2, and 0 all enjoyed themselves. I remember thinking that if we were fans of another school, we couldn't afford to bring them all like that. I appreciate being a Blazer fan!
*I met up with some former team mates, and we were able to talk and enjoy the pre-game and the game together.
*The weather during the game was very nice.
*UAB won, which always helps.

Positive #1 - UAB kicked their ***
2- Love the new positioning for the marching band, very strategic and effective
3- Offense was clicking pretty much on all cylinders. Hope that carries over into Nashville
& conference play.

The way he's playing now, absolutely if he can keep it up.
