I thought I remembered watching Texas vs UCF on national ABC the first year UCF got the new stadium. Am I wrong?

You're kind of right. The game was on ESPN, but ABC picked it up in the second half because UCF was hanging with UT and the original ABC game was a blowout.

Slight correction.

UCF's on-campus stadium home opener vs Texas was the ESPN2 National Game that Saturday at 3:30 pm....which I still think was a first for UCF (i.e. Saturday afternoon home game on ESPN or ESPN2)

As of 11:45 a.m., the game is officially SOLD OUT. First sell out crowd since Boston College in 2011. The Bright House is gonna be LOUD on Saturday.

This is a legit opportunity to get people around the country talking about UCF. After Penn State -- win this one and they will.

I think it will be a close game no matter who wins. There are some weak points on defense...mostly #37 which concern me. If we can tackle a little better we should win because our offense looks pretty solid early in the season.

Hopefully all the AAC fans tune into the game. We need good ratings to get our league on the main network.
