We didn't play up to our capabilities. :(

That FG attempt makes me really grumpy.

I guess I missaw that.

I think we've misseen the same exact thing, if it was the pass to Petersen. The ball was uncatchable, I'm not sure if that rule applies to the NCAA.

I coach my son's team... after one of the games last year, I taught a couple of the kids how to do the Rabona, and I kicked my plant leg out from under myself and wound up on my a$$.

sigh. Would've been great to get into the endzone to finish out the game...

One time when I got called up to the blackboard, my Pocket Hose had a Rabona. That was embarrassing...

We fought back and never quit. But the lack of a balanced attack doomed us in the face of UofH's explosive offense. Still and all, the team made it competitive and exciting at the end. Maybe we can go 10-2? <g>

Bailiff: "that's on me, I didn't have them ready"

How many times have we heard that over the years?

I've been less impressed with Reagan than Bailiff though. Just one game, bad loss against a pretty unimpressive UH squad. Time to re-focus for next week.

Mediocre QBs should not be attempting back shoulder throws on 4th down. What on earth was that??

Redo the rest of the sentence in reverse-pig-latin, and then you've got something.

If you think about Caelligh, would you not say that about most of our games. That is my problem with DB. While winning is nice, it is more important to play your best. And, too often, as many other posters have noted, Rice beats Rice. It is so frustrating..

Be that as it may, they are 3-0 whereas we are 1-2.

When Rice beats Rice, the team was not properly prepared. And that's coaching. Period.

I think this game is obviously on the coaches. There were a few plays where we dropped a pick, or we threw one, but overall, we seemed to be playing to keep it close.

Ugh.

Nothing good to say about this game!! Did not score after the first Q until it was out of hand. I think Baillif is a good person, but I say fire his ass. Our QB threw two ints in the first half which f#^¥#> our chances, but he continued to play! The only good thing about Reliant as a college venue is beer!

Yup. This has been a characteristic of DB his entire tenure here. We had an opportunity to really put the Coogs on the ropes in the first half (when the offense was still clicking somewhat). And not to make any 2nd half adjustments is just inexcusable at this level. Ditto not giving Jackson a least one or two series to see if he could better handle the UH defensive pressure, as it was very clear McHargue was not the answer from mid-second quarter onward.

In addition, if you're going to play Driphus - STOP RESRICTRING THE OFFENSIVE PLAYBOOK.

Well, he decided that he could. So he did.

Jackson deserves more playing time period.
McHargue is simply not good enough to not incorporate Jackson into the game plan.
Look at the difference the young QB's made for UH.

RE: Bayou Bucket Game Thread
Frankly, I'm not sure either of them should be playing if McHargue is clearly that much better than DJ. I know we're enamored with a few plays by DJ, but clearly the coaches don't share our faith. LOTS of teams in this country seem to be having fewer problems with much less experienced QBs.

As for whomever said it was a Sr playing in his last Bayou Bucket... That's why you put him in up 45-17... not why you let him go out losing.
