Namely, Cliff Alexander and JaQuan Lyle. Sorry, Card fans. He's gotta go somewhere.

They claim they want to commit together. I think Kansas has the inside track, but we could be #2 for them at the moment, and you never know what might happen.

Good for them. Doesn't bother me if they go to Memphis at all since we wont be seeing them.

Pretty confident we will be playing yearly non-con games. No?

Maybe. I'll believe it when I see it on the schedule.

It is certainly what our prez and AD think, and what Pitino is telling the media.

But let's not make this about UM-UL OOC. This is about the AAC possibly getting 2 more high-profile recruits for 2014.

Pitino could be right but once again most uofl fans will tell you pitino talks out of his azz more often than not. This is the same guy who said he would never coach in another league besides the big east and felt Pitt and cuse made a bad decision to leave.lol He has a long list of saying untrue things. When it comes to basketball he names new teams every month he'd love to play. I will believe it when I see it. As far as Lyle good luck. I'd love to see him playing for Louisville but I guess he felt he didn't want to compete for a starting spot. Pitino doesn't hand over starting jobs. If pastner can steal him from kansas then he can be a good player.

Pitino may talk out of his butt, but our guys don't.

I don't think we'll get Lyle and Alexander (who is the real prize), but we're in there trying.

I think that Illinois is in on Alexander too.

They are. I think they're running third, though, and not sure at all where they stand with Lyle.

Wasn't UConn new to his list of final schools just a couple of days ago?

That's it I'd wager -- they're home. I think it's more interesting that Alexander continues to list Arizona after Arizona declined to recruit Lyle for fear of losing a guard commit they already have.

I am thinking that Illinois has a decent shot at landing Alexander and Okafor.
