At least we've gotten plenty of practice in the rain at Legion Field this year.

RE: Current Forecast for Saturday
Just arrived in Bham for the first time in years...weather is great. Y'all can't possibly figure out a way to keep it that way?

That would really suck though to travel several hundred miles to see a game only to have it postponed.

RE: Current Forecast for Saturday
Better news: The rain may be gone by 3 PM.
At least it is better than being drenched the whole game.

"UAB: The Blazers will host Northwestern State at Legion Field Saturday afternoon (kickoff 2:00p CT). Rain is very possible, if not likely around kickoff, but the rain should end during the first half, and the sky should begin to clear during the second half of the game. About 76 degrees at kickoff; low 70s by the final whistle."

Well if that's the case, YOU brought the weather w/ you so you can take it back to where you came from

RE: Current Forecast for Saturday
update;
ABC 33/40
UAB: The Blazers take on Northwestern State at Legion Field (2:00 p.m. CT kickoff), arain is very possible during the first half, but the rain should end as the games are being played. Tailgaters will have to deal with a soaking rain Saturday morning. Temperatures will fall from the mid 70s at kickoff into the low 70s by the fourth quarter.
NWS
Saturday Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 76. South wind around 5 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
FOX6
rain chances remaining high through Saturday morning. We'll easily see over 2" of rain through the early afternoon. Most forecast models are keeping the rain chances highest before 2pm. If you have plans for either the UAB or Alabama game - you'll probably see cloudy skies, but most of the rain will have moved southward. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid to upper 70s.
CBS42
After midnight, the stronger storms move in from west to east. Some may be awakened by thunder and lightning and while there isn’t much of a threat of gusty wind, tornadoes or hail, some of the downpours may produce brief, localized flooding. Be careful if you’re out late this evening – remember our adage, turn around, don’t drown. Some areas could get anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.
The rains move into east Alabama and Georgia by late afternoon. Temperatures will have a hard time getting out of the 70s all day. Tailgaters for UAB and Alabama should expect soggy conditions. However, I expect kickoff for both games to remain dry – just cloudy with a damp feel, so dress warmly.
