Just saw a GREAT football movie
I rented "Undefeated" from Netflix off their recommendation and I was very impressed.

It's a documentary about the 2010 season of a Memphis High School football team. It was very well done and I highly recommend it. I think it's a MUST SEE for any football fan.

Without spilling any good info, you'll see in the movie several ties to a few AAC schools.

That was an Academy Award winning film.

Our church brings the Manassas teams in and helps them with training camps, meals, etc. We are also doing some work through that neighborhood. My daughter did her student teaching in one of Manassas' feeder schools. There is a huge culture shock there for everyone on either side of the urban/suburban fences.

From a church mission's perspective, instead of flying to another continent, we could buy $3 worth of gas and do as much mission work as 2 757's loaded with missionaries.

A woman from our church spoke to the congregation after her return from several weeks on overseas mission. Obviously we were expecting her to talk about her mission experiences. She began by throwing out some horrendous statistics and figures. She then shared that the horrible conditions she described existed right here. There is work to be done everywhere and God bless all who answer. Like she said she asked herself as her plane lifted off, I am flying thousands of miles to help others but have never been to these neighborhoods below to help. Why?

Watched it a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Some of it seemed too good to be true, but I didn't question it too much.

You what's both sad and uplifting at the same time? There are some other countries that are starting to send their missionaries HERE.

I've been hearing that said at church for years now. Not being critical, I'm a Christian too, but I have to ask you who are these missionaries from foreign countries spreading the Gospel in the US?
