Champlin: Player Notes (Updated Again)
Drew Champlin ‏@DrewChamplin 16m
UAB safety Calvin Jones is out indefinitely, maybe for the season, with ankle injury

Drew Champlin ‏@DrewChamplin 16m
McGee also said there is an issue with cb Jimmy Jean and he may be out this weekend. Not injury related

No mention of Drec.

I wonder if Jay Davis will be ready to go? It would be rough to be without both starting safeties........guess Greg McLin and Nick Jackson will get a lot of playing time. Farmer will probably go in Jean's place. He looked good at times in the LSU game.

I think Farmer is a much better cover corner than Jean. The only advantage Jean has is height, which obviously didn't help in the Troy air raid.

Well they dinked and dunked in front of them most of the night negating the height advantage. Just upset we didn't adjust any better.

RE: Champlin: Player Notes (Updated with al.com article)
Brackett and Brown should start at CB imho. Nick Jackson should start at the other safety spot. Is it time for the McCullom and Ejike experiment at LB to end the Saf's and DL need a little help.

Well, if our starters arent too good. Cant believe the back ups are any better. Be looking for another rough day from the pass defense.

RE: Champlin: Player Notes (Updated Again)
Well I would quite say that there is a LB that started game one that didn't start game two, his backup looks better. Maybe the same could be said at other positions. I have a lot of questions and opinions about this defense not trying to cross the line.

Listening to McGee's preview of the game, it appears we worked on something last week to address our problems with the passing game.
