Marching 110's latest attempt at virality
Last night at the Marshall game the Marching 110 performed a new song call "The Fox", its by a Norwegian artist named Ylvis. The original video was posted on 9/3/13 and already has close to 30 million views.

You can see the original here.

I'll admit it, I don't get it.

Anyways, the 110's version was shot, edited and posted last night and already has 227K views. I guess its popular in Norway?

Cool use of GoPro cameras attached to various band members but I still don't get it. Enjoy-

Brilliant. The only thing that could make this post better would be a seating chart showing the best value for money in terms of price vs acoustics for listening to the band.

One thing that I noticed watching this video (and others of the Marching 110) is that most all your fans stay in their seats to watch during halftime. Very cool!

Here's to the Marching 110! 04-bow

thank you! and yes you're right. most people watch the 110 and then go the concession stands, restrooms, or whatever. we still have fans who leave after halftime but not nearly as many as we had in the dark ages of really bad Ohio football teams.

The Marching 110 made the long trip to DeKalb in 2003. That's a great memory for all Huskie fans that were at that game!

I hope to see them in again in DeKalb (or Athens).

RE: Marching 110's latest attempt at virality
I reckon they got what they were hoping for with this one, they were mentioned in "Click 3" one one of MSNBC's nightly news/opinion shows.

If I had gone to OhioU (they were my safety school, since they pre-accepted me as soon as they got my ACTs), I definitely would have been one of those going to see the halftime show ~ and back in the 80's, heading home after halftime was over.

Nice recognition from Rolling Stone...although they reference last year's cover of Gangnam Style. Also mentioned is the Temple band which is under direction of Marching 110 Alumnus Matt Brunner.

and did you read the comments? apparently, Rolling Stone fell into the same old trap so many others have, calling us Ohio State instead of Ohio. plenty of Bobcat proofreaders caught it and mentioned it and apparently got RS to correct itself!

I had read from friends FB posts of the original mistake, but didn't see it myself and comments below article weren't visible on my mobile. Really gets old being referenced as OSU band.
