I had to make a choice to attend Nicholls or TXST you can guess which one I will be attending. It should be a great game at Cajun Field on Oct. 5th.

Both teams you beat won exactly zero games as an FBS team last season. That said! I love where the Texas State program is going. They are going to be VERY tough in the near future. Texas State and South Alabama (after tonight) will not be pushovers in this conference, even this year. Georgia State may be the only easy win on the schedule. Or WKU if you ask their fans! Western will bounce back though. Their offense will be tough to stop.

Yeah, that's what WE thought the year before last when they were losing to NAIA, D-II & non-scholarship D-IAA teams. We (fans) and our team swaggered into the Georgia Dome, already circling our "W's" (if they weren't circled already, that is) until kickoff. It was then we realized GSU came to PLAY. After the 2nd OT was the point we realized they came to WIN.
I promise-- you don't ever want to take any team with a SBC logo on their jersey and turf lightly.

And GSU's coach is no joke.
I fully expect them to get better every week.
So pissed that we traded them from the season opener to a late game.

Nah Georgia State is going to lose forever just like was predicted for WKU and FIU when they joined (FIU got cured of winning apparently since then).

I agree with what you're getting at, but I don't think Troy's going to have too much trouble with them this season. They could be good down the road though.

I think you're missing the underlying point he's trying to make.
He's not trying to say "we're the toast of the league! ALL YOU BOOTLICKERS GET IN LINE TO CLEAN MY HEELS!"
Rather, it is illustrating how wonky this season is. I had WKU undefeated at this point, and my boys at 1-1. I had Louisiana with a good shot at undefeated.

I got that point. That's why only one small sentence of mine revolved around the post you just made. I caught that he was being jovial. Texas State is the real deal though and will be tough to beat.

I had Texas State to be undefeated at this point but didn't have us being the only undefeated team.
