Anyone watching AFA @ Boise State?
With the recent comments by Aresco and various people, I'm a tad interested in seeing AFA perform.

So far they just drove down the field on Boise, using nothing but that vaunted triple option. I for one would love to have the academies in the AAC.

I can't watch for more than a quarter ... that blue field is too annoying.

This doesn't appear to be a good Boise team.

I turn the "Color" setting on my TV down to 0.

It is kind of like watching an old 1950's game, but it is better than dealing with the blue.

RE: Anyone watching AFA @ Boise State?
I'm rooting for AFA because I want to see the academies do well in sports, but I'm not anti-Boise. The two folks I've ever met that went to BSU were actually great people. And I don't blame Boise for backing out of the Big East deal. That was clearly not going to produce the kind of $$$ which Boise needed to justify the move.

But by the same token, I don't blame the other AAC schools for not matching the MWC's bribe/offer to lure Boise back into the Mtn. fold. That would have been a terrible business decision for the AAC (and Tulane had already been invited, so it's not like Tulane "needed" Boise to leave).

Glad to see the AAC stuck to equal sharing.

Think Boise made the right decision to stay in the MWC. Didn't like the half a$$ offer of FB only.

BE / AAC after the C7 split should have made all sports offers to at least three MWC teams to go along with the Texas teams to form a western division. Hate to see schools splitting their sports over 2 conferences to move their FB up. All or nothing like the P-5 conferences. Academies are a different subject because schools like Army and Navy WANT to be in the Patriot League for competitive for their Olympic Sports and BB while their FB teams play up at the D1 level. 07-coffee3
