Coaching Staff
I want to puke when I continue to read posts criticizing our coaching staff. We are so lucky to have MC and his staff. These are the guys bringing in the the top recruits in the MAC. These are the guys who have inspired the players to achieve a team 3.0GPA. Our program is on the verge of dominating the MAC again; if not this year, certainly next year. I wouldn't trade UT's staff for any staff in the country.

They do a great job. Coaching is a tough profession. You have 18 year olds running around with your paycheck in their teeth.

RE: Coaching Staff
I would looooove to have had a social work board where people complained (or lauded) my every move, criticizing my choice of services to be delivered or how I assigned cases. As long as I got a quarter mill to do those things. Was Campbell the best choice? Can't say, but he's done well in most respects. We definitely could have done worse. It's a sports board- you're gonna get the full spectrum of opinions.

Picking corn requires some thought and manual dexterity. Please do not demean the farmers who put food on your table by comparing them to 7.

Sorry. I apparently didn't make it clear if you felt the message was only implied.

RE: Coaching Staff
Just my two cents, and many of you probably don't care, but here goes nothing.
You legitimately wouldn't trade Matt Campbell and his staff for any other staff in the country???? SUCH A STUPID COMMENT, they aren't even the best in the MAC
Wasn't Tim Beckman bringing in top recruits??? How many of his classes have led to MAC titles....0. Recruiting means jack if you can't get them to fit the system and play. I'm a NIU homer so these are my examples but Chad Spann was a walk-on, Michael Turner had one offfer, Harnish and Lynch both one offer. Turned out okay for the NIU squads.
Having two MAC losses last year and starting 0-2, albeit against the SEC is hardly on the verge of dominating the MAC, especially with a bad Defense.
The 3.0 thing is awesome indeed, good for that. That's tough in college football. I respect the Rocket program and see them as a big threat to NIU, but some of these things are slightly off-base, one of them was completely asinine.

The only thing nauseating on this board is how any criticism of the university, coaching staff, or players is met with such contempt as if to label us as the enemy...

RE: Coaching Staff
We haven't won the conference in a while, so it's a bit absurd to say that we're dominating, or even on the verge of dominating. We have to prove that on the field before we can say it. It is fair to say, though, that we generally have been a better-than-average MAC team for a number of years, including currently. That in itself is quite an accomplishment. Don't forget, we're not the only school trying to win. So is everyone else.

Yes, giving up 28 points to a terrible Iowa team, screams great defense. LOL.

First off, where did I compare NIU to Toledo, I didn't. Second off, did I even say NIU's defense anywhere in the post.
Not winning a MAC title in 10 years...yet verge of dominance, that's funny. I was trying to bring a valid argument, and you just made yourself look uneducated and jealous.

Also, 27 isn't 28. You're a dual idiot. You cannot do math nor can you read.

And now you look like a troll. Your comments implied that comparison. You weren't bringing anything to the table except trolling like a jack ass.

RE: Coaching Staff
Totally troll of me to compliment the 3.0 GPA and have an opinion. Glad you admit when you are wrong as well. I was not implying a comparison between defenses, plus the NIU defense has some kinks it needs to work out as well. If that was the case I would have said more than just the Toledo defense still isn't very good. If you think they are, you don't know football. Also, are you afraid of someone challenging your opinion, or just the fact that I root for another team.
Now I am going to be a troll though, you are and were being an idiot.
