TCU
last year a lot of frog fans had some high expectations for them.....things didnt go too well. i mentioned it in the offseason that they will be busts again only to get a mouthful from a few frog fans. I heard every excuse possible. my favorite being "were young"

i know its only 3 games into the season and they have a lot of games to play. but is it time to push the panic button for TCU? At this point I think their problems have more to do with being in a tougher conference than coaching/talent

RE: TCU
The frogs wanted tougher competition and they got it.

O fer against the one team they hate. Fatterson has negatively recruited against Tech and it was nice to see fatterson lose in Lubbock.

Who knew we( Texas Tech) had a defense.

Nonsense, TCU was overrated this year and Texas Tech was underrated. Tech was rightfully underrated. There are always surprise teams and I do believe Tech will be one of those to be realized as such.

TCU has played LSU and a surprisingly good Tech team. Too early to judge.

Even with an 8th referee on the field, that was one horribly refereed game.

I'm a paid subscriber on our rivals site and fatterson wanted and needed this game. He lost and he will start losing recruits to Tech and Baylor.

Tech was against adding TCU to the Big 12 for obvious reasons, so it was nice to beat them again.

That is why the Texoma 4 will never allow UH or SMU to join. The Texoma 4 would rather set sail west than be associated with the left behinds from the SWC. TCU got lucky in that we needed a Texas team but they will soon find out hard the Big 12 is. I think they experienced that tonight in Lubbock.

Yes. I haven't been impressed with B12 refs in either football or basketball so far...

Well for basketball, the XII, CUSA, and the American all share the same pool of refs.

Frog fans were a tad bit generous and while I don't necessarily "like" TCU, the fact is that if you remove the following from ANY team over a two year period it's going to be a challenge to be better than 6-7 wins.

1 QB
1 RB
4 OT
1 DT (Best interior pass rusher)
6 Linebackers (Including a returning All America candidate)
2 Safeties

As well as early departures to the NFL of difference makers at DE and WR along with a suspended game breaker at DE for their big game vs LSU.

Not many teams have the depth to handle that much attrition and still be strong. TCU's 2009 and 2010 teams would be much stronger than the current crop. I am witholding judgement on TCU until the next two seasons- prior to that you are judging them with a significant arm tied behind their back- depth.

RE: TCU
We're just trying to make Patterson look as unattractive as possible when there is a UT opening :)

We're in a tough stretch, but its football and there is always the next game or next year. We have a ton of things going for us- deep pockets, top notch facilities, deep recruiting pool, strong academics, play in a top conference and have a coach who has proven himself and is committed long term.

The future is still bright. There are always ups and downs along the way.
