Yep. Tulane coughed up the ball on their own 11 yard line and La Tech couldn't score in the 4th quarter.

Tulane looked like a pretty good team last night.........I was very surprised. I'm with ATTALLABLAZE, I have no idea how they managed to lose to USA. Tulane has several outstanding players on their team.

I think there was a blocked punt or two in the game with USA.

That makes sense......same thing happened last night. Tulane was horrible on long snaps.

USA was up by 21 in the fourth quarter before the Tulane comeback. USA had over 300 yards of offense in the first half and finished a few yards shy of 500. The USA defense, which is usually a no show, held Tulane to under 50 yards rushing and sacked Montana several times.

USA played the game of their football lives, but they are getting better. Joey Jones is hated by many on here because he went to Bama, but the man knows football and is a heck of a coach.

We will find out how good they are in the next 3 weeks. They have Western UK, Tennessee and Troy. Jones has done a nice job.

LaTech looked good defensively especially late but their O especially qbs sucked. They do have one little scatback rb that is dangerous. As said Tul was horrible on long snaps & they may have a lot blocked this year if they don't fix it. I watched about the first qtr of Troy replay at 2am before going to sleep

Jones hasn't done well - on his own.

He is starting to be the recipient of the gump drop outs.

His best coach is now coaching Jax State.

One game does not a season make.

It's not that he went to Bama that people hate him. It's him funneling players away from UAB while at HS and some comments that he made that upset some Blazer fans. I'm sure some dislike him due to where he went to school but that's what I remember. He was an exceptional receiver and I had non problems cheering for him when he was with the Stallions.

Same here. I followed him with the Stallions as well as in college.

I've heard the complaint about him"funneling" players from UAB before, but really have no idea what he really did to achieve this. MBHS kids don't go to UAB in large numbers, so I'm not sure what he did to keep his kids away.

Maybe by not even allowing the UAB coaches at the high school.

Ultimately it should be up to the players to decide where they would like to go to school, not the coaches.

You read it here and you know the rule. Anything repeated 15 times on a message board becomes fact.

This is true, but if the coaches had no decisive input, then Logan Young would have never gotten Bama in trouble by paying coaches in Memphis to steer Albert Means to the Crimson Tide. I do observe that the suburbs in the Jeffco area are dominated by the two state BCS schools (as reflected in the local media coverage of college sports) and UAB seldom gets a lot of "love" there in recruiting news.
