RE: Any Rice-Kansas news of note
The scoreboard was some sort of brother-in-law deal that Todd did with a friend of a friend of a friend. In the end, we ran out of time and/or money before it was all done and did some temporary rigging to get it usable for one season. It was supposed to be completed after the season, but Todd left and in typical Rice fashion it never got done.

FWIW, I saw scattered "yard signs" around the loop:

This Saturday
STUDENTS FREE

From Facebook, Bailiff delivered pizza to students in the academic quad earlier today.

Also, since it is a Saturday night, serveries will be closed. They are having the College Row Tailgate just like last year. Athletics provides free pizza for the college at their designated tents and there's a competition on whose tent is decorated the best. Prizes consist of a $250 HEB gift card and 50 inch TVs.

That's great that the athletics department is buying the pizza for the students. I like the way Bailiff is close with the students. I watched the David Bailiff Show yesterday. The football team had the football clinic for international students. It looked like a lot of fun and it connected those students to football and student athletes. That kind of stuff is really good for getting students involved. It's a strategy that other universities are copying now.

The picture of Bailiff delivering pizza is also on the "photos of game day" on ESPN

I haven't had time to read the gamethread, so don't know if it was called out that this gameday shot was 1 of 15 highlighted on ESPN's Best of the Week.
