I agree. We better not lose to a 1AA team because we are a better team. We should win this game, but hopefully we play a perfect game and pull ahead early. Hopefully we haed into CMU with some confidence so we can pound them.

Please understand 7 is from a different school. He does not represent the folks who frequent this board. He's pretty much a punchline over here. If HuskieJWN takes his cues from 7 I fear for his sanity. Good luck Saturday. I'll be pulling for the Eagles to finish in second place.

Because EWU is a FCS school with a good team featuring an outstanding QB I keep thinking this game may be a replay of the Eastern Illinois game where Tony Romo lit it up in a nail biter---but of course, this game could follow an entirely different path.

I also keep wondering how the coaching staff is game planning---are going "to play it safe" again like the first two games or will they take a chance and open it up a bit more?

On Defense will they still give receivers 10-15 yard cushions? Will they feel conformable running more man-to-man? What will they do to attempt to put more pressure on an accurate and mobile QB?

On Offense, will they have enough confidence in the OL to dare open up the play book to extend the field vertically, and thus extend the defense with a deep threat? How heavily will they rely on Fluellen, their most reliable proven offensive weapon?

I sense that in the first two games the coaching staff was sufficiently intimidated by the opponents (perhaps justifiably so?; perhaps not?) as to lack the confidence to really open it up offensively or defensively. I think that maybe they will open things up more in this game.

The good news is that in about 12 hours these questions will be answered.
