The recognition is great for our program. Hopefully the guys won't get too caught up in their ranking because we have a very tough schedule left, starting Friday night.
An amazing accomplishment considering Birmingham, Alabama isn't exactly a soccer hotbed.
Mike Getman for AD when he wants to hang up his coaching cleats.

The USMNT owns Mexico in Columbus. Another huge victory!

Speaking of the US National Soccer Team (USMNT), Matt Besler didn't get to play last night because he picked up a second yellow card in a previous match.
Joel Campbell should be banned for life from competitive soccer.

And I agree about the card. There are several things I don't understand about that:
1) How the ref made that call. You can't call something without seeing it. I don't know who he was talking to, but the AR is generally on the other side of the field. Either way, somebody made a call without seeing anything.
2) How that yellow card is upheld. FIFA should simply step in, view the video once, and take the card away. It didn't hurt the US, but it's the principal more than anything to me.
3) Why soccer doesn't start retroactively suspending players. Suspend that clown, and any other player you see doing the same type of crap, and it will put a stop to it quickly.
People wonder why the sport is made fun of, and this is a prime example. It's such a simple fix, but FIFA is so slow to act on anything.

How was it? That atmosphere looked awesome on TV.
It was AWESOME! On the 2nd goal, guy behind me had his hands up (with beer), I threw may arms up (into his beer) and ended up with 80% of a beer all over my head. The place was so crazy that I didn't even care...and I don't even drink beer.
It's a nice venue. Not nearly as nice as KC's, but nice

I wish I could have been there, and I do drink beer.
