RE: Howard
We need to win these FCS games and go into Pitt with the same confidence we went into ECU with. If we eliminate the TOs and minimize the penalties, we should be able to compete there as they do not appear to be very good.
We were not the same team against Maryland after 3rd INT and the offense seemed to go into prevent mode after moving it pretty well before the INT. Howard is exactly what TH needs.

RE: Howard
Passing offenses are all about rhythm and timing and Maryland did a great job of disrupting them both. It may take a few series against Howard to get that back.

RE: Howard
Maryland clearly rattled the offense. Didn't see the 1st INT (TV coverage started late) and the 2nd INT was a clear bad decision by TH, but the 3rd INT was an unfortunate batted ball situation when we were about to score. After that, TH (or Wilder) clearly put the offense into safe mode the rest of the game to avoid more TOs (watched the DVR twice). If we score there and the opening TD isn't overturned, it is a whole different game and, while we clearly would have still been beaten, we would have at least had a chance to put up 20-30 points.

The officials did a good job of throwing us off track, as well.

Heinicke had Roberts open deep ont he first int. I don't think I've ever seen him under throw a WRer like he did on that on. But, the guys dusted off and drove right back down the field and should have had a td.

+1. Maryland only getting one penalty the entire game, the bad TD call and the pass interference call were all back breakers. I'm still shaking my head about Randy Edsall losing it over the only penalty they called against Maryland and practically standing over David Born while he was yelling.
I don't watch much ACC football, but are their refs usually as lenient with calling holding?

I was listening to the radio commentary (thanks ESPN)...they noted that the wind swirls in an unusual fashion at the stadium with the winds above the field gusting the opposite as the wind at field level...TH likely hit an unanticipated head gust (my iron shots do this often).

So does anyone know if kids under 4 can enter the game without a ticket as before?

It's no wonder this game was so lopsided. I mean you have 11 guys ganging up on one guy named Howard.

My first guess was sequestration. I know it killed the flyover program for the time being

RE: Howard
It was good that this team experienced something like the Maryland game. Get humbled, kick a bunch of inferior team's asses, and then come back and win at least one of those remaining FBS games.
